for the following rivers in Illinois...
Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake County
Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake County
East Branch Du Page River at Bolingbrook affecting Will County
.Heavy rain over the past 24 hours of up to one and three quarters
of an inch has fallen across portions of northern Illinois. This
has caused rises along the Des Plaines and Du Page rivers.
Additional rainfall of a half inch is expected over the next
24 hours.
The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a
* Flood Warning for
The East Branch Du Page River at Bolingbrook.
* from this evening to late Friday night.
* At  710 AM Thursday the stage was 18.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
to near 19.7 feet by Friday morning.The river will fall below flood
stage by Friday evening.
* Impact...At 19.5 feet...Royce Road floods.

.Heavy rain over the past 24 hours has caused rises along rivers
in northern Illinois.  Rain totals ranged from just over 2 inches
to areas along the Illinois river to just over half an inch across
extreme northern Illinois.

* At  845 AM Thursday the stage was 9.1 feet.
* Action stage is 10.0 feet.

* At 106 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers
and thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding
in the advisory area, especially due to saturated grounds from
overnight rainfall of one to two inches.

Information:
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots, including
country roads and farmland.
