||
| Effective: Fri, 2/27 4:34am | Updated: Fri, 2/27 6:58am | Urgency: Expected |
| Expires: Fri, 2/27 7:00am | Severity: Moderate | Certainty: Observed |
Details:
An area of fog is lifting northeast into Cook and DuPage Counties early this morning, some of which is locally dense. If traveling, be prepared for sudden changes in visibility over short distances, including part of the morning commute. If you encounter fog, slow down, maintain a safe following distance, and use low beam headlights. Where dense fog occurs, patchy slick spots may also develop on elevated untreated roadways due to the sub-freezing temperatures. Any lingering fog is expected to gradually erode within an hour or two of sunrise. |
